A 301 Error or 301 Moved Permanently error normally means that you asked for a page that now resides at a new URL. The web server is supposed to provide a “Location” field showing the new address.
A SearchStax Managed Search service client got a 301 error when attempting to use the Custom JAR API to delete a .jar file from Zookeeper. The file had not been moved, so the error made no sense to anyone.
It turned out that the file URL was missing a required “/” character at the end.
