The SearchStax Site Search solution user interface asks you to choose from a list of fields when configuring the following features:

• Relevance Models Details screen:
  • Search Fields Tab.
  • Global Filters Tab.
  • Ranking Tab.
• Results Configuration screen:
  • Results and Display Tab.
  • Faceting Tab.
  • Sorting Tab.

The field list is derived from the Site Search schema in each case. However, since some Site Search features modify the schema, the field list can become out of date. Each list has a small “Reload Schema” button to address this issue.

Clicking this button has two effects:

• There is a brief delay while the UI reloads the list of fields from the schema.
• All similar UI field lists are updated at the same time.

Reload the schema after any action that changes fields in the schema, such as adding or modifying fields in the Crawler.

At a higher level, reload the schema when a new field fails to appear in a field list. (If you reload the schema and still don’t see the new field, you probably forgot to save the changes.)
